Internally-shelled clam Chlamydoconcha orcutti The long narrow foot is protruded from the mantle cavity and used to drag the clam along. The mantle is enlarged to completely cover the long narrow valves, which can be seen faintly inside it, and there are papillations on the mostly smooth external surface of the mantle.
